Hello wonderful people!
This last month has been one for the books on so many levels o.O I want to thank everyone for their patience as we continue to work through fulfillment. We know many of you are anxiously awaiting your pledges, at the same time more than a quarter of the pledges are out the door and in the hands of their painters with more heading out every day!
With the arrival of the Exemplar MEGA express shipment we got studio shots of the tasty Game Envy X Creature Caster Special Edition. If you notice in the picture all the Exemplar MEGAs now come with two mixing trays ;D
So pleased with the striking design of the all-black Creature Caster Special Edition Exemplar MEGA!

Fulfillment Update Time!
We FINALLY got word earlier this week from our freight and customs handler as to what is going on with the container with the rest of the PROs and the MEGA and GO wet palettes! Due to the rerouting and increased shipping at the time they were actually stuck at the Panama Canal in a ship traffic jam >.< We now have a dock date of Dec. 7 which means fulfillment should be wrapped up in the beginning January with most of you receiving your pledges before then.
A full carload of pledges a day keeps the... USPS in business XD
Since the last update, we placed an order out of pocket to get an express air shipment of MEGA and GO palettes to help speed up shipments. So far the MEGA shipment has arrived and we are sending those out now. Per our adjusted fulfillment plan, as the delayed gear arrives we are switching over to those pledges to catch them up to keep things as fair as possible. As soon as we get some more MEGAs out the door we will be increasing the PROs again. As soon as the GO express shipment arrives we will prioritize those.
Canadian backers, due to the postal strike we have switched to sending out your pledges via FedEx as we got new rates from them for the time being. This will hopefully aid in the timely arrival of your pledges.
"Customs-Friendly" backers, we are looking into a faster way to get your pledges to you than waiting for all the gear before sending the one large shipment to our international fulfillment partner. We are waiting on some numbers, and will have some news on this next week after the holiday weekend.
I will post another update as soon as the remaining shipments arrive in the warehouse. Otherwise, we are packing pledges and sending them out!

Hello amazing supporters!
Almost 7 years ago to the day I sent out the "Final 24 Hours" update for our very first Kickstarter campaign for the Hobby Holder, and I can't help but feel thankful for the amazing support this community has shown. Here we are now, fulfilling our 6th campaign and not to mention the myriad other Game Envy innovations created along the way. Thank you for helping create a better hobby space!
I want to update everyone on how pledge shipping is progressing and address some of the recurring questions all in one place. One note before we get into it: If you have general questions or are just checking in on your pledge status, please check the recent comments and the latest updates before emailing; this will help us stay focused on the actual shipping. If you need help with address changes or billing questions, etc. of course reach out. These issues can also be addressed by messaging BackerKit support.

Fulfillment Progress
Things have been bustling at the Game Envy offices, and we are waist-deep in fulfillment (I reserve "neck-deep" for when all 600+ cartons of Exemplar Wet Palettes have finally arrived and are piled all around the warehouse). At the moment we have a little over 700 pledges out the door making up about 20% of the completed surveys with more heading out every day.
We refer to Derek's car as The Vortex because it holds a seemingly infinite amount of packages XD
When your pledge ships, you will receive an email from BackerKit with your tracking number; you can also find your tracking number in your BackerKit account. If you haven’t been assigned a tracking number, your pledge hasn’t shipped yet. This is perfectly normal, as we are in active fulfillment. As long as your survey was filled out and your shipping was charged, your pledge will be making its way to you. We will post a very clear update when all the packages have been shipped ;D
MEGA and GO Update
As of right now, we are still waiting for movement to begin again on the Exemplar MEGA and GO shipments. We are working on getting things moving, but we are one partial container amidst many. The issue is more time-sensitive shipments (while we consider these time-sensitive, others don't) are given priority, and things are still backed up.
In the mean time I have spoken with our manufacturer and we are going to have extra stock air-shipped at our cost to get as much here as possible as quickly as possible. Even though air shipping a bunch of cartons is quite expensive, we want to keep things moving, and without a definitive timeline for when the full shipments will now arrive, we are more than happy to eat the extra cost to get gear into your hands! Worst case scenario we have extra stock at the warehouse.

Customs-Friendly Shipments
At the moment we preparing as much as we can to send over to GamesQuest, and have all the shipping fees and taxes in a holding account ready for them. When the rest of the gear arrives we will be able to move forward quickly with these shipments!
General Update
We have been hearing wonderful reviews from supporters who have started receiving their pledges. I know everyone who hasn't received their pledge yet is anxiously awaiting their tracking email and we cannot wait until everyone has their new gear. For us, the time between the beginning of fulfillment and the last pledge out the door is some of the most stressful but also the most rewarding with the flurry of packing, emailing and hours printing labels mixed with the joy of seeing boxes of fresh new gear being torn into like a kid at their birthday party.

On a general Game Envy front, we have added our favorite hobby supplies to the website and will be launching new merch in time for the holidays! We will also be at PAX Unplugged the first week of December if you need to pick up any last-minute gifts ;D

Hello amazing supporters,
I wanted to make sure this update got out today because I know there are lot of folks anxiously awaiting shipping confirmation for their pledge. The VERY FIRST thing I want to say is we have sent out nearly 20,000 pledges between all our Kickstarters, and no matter what, you will be receiving your pledge, so please do not worry. Everything is made and just waiting to make it the final leg :D
Creature Caster World of Reclamation Campaign + STL Files
While the Creature Caster team has been hard at work on this project, I checked in with them earlier today about the Exemplar KS bundle and the files will be going out tomorrow! This will be sent to all the Creature Caster x Game Envy Exemplar MEGA pledges and anyone who added the special edition to their pledge as an add-on, so keep an eye out for an email.
Addresses Locking and Shipping Charges
There was some confusion about addresses not being locked, so I wanted to mention it here so everyone saw it. When we sent out the last address lock warning it was supposed to have auto-locked the addresses which did not happen. So, we sent it out again and those affected should be locked in less than 12 hours.
With the address locking fixed, we will be charging shipping over the next 24 hours. If your charge does not go through, Backerkit will try to charge it one more time. If you need to update your card at that point you will be able to.
International backers in the "Friendly Shipping" zones. Your VAT will be collected now, so that GamesQuest can submit it when they ship your pledge from their hubs. This has been calculated and updated on your pledges.
Where We Are With Everything
As you may or may not have heard, there is now a strike happening at all of the major ports in the gulf and on the east coast of the US (where we are). While we weren't expecting this to be an issue since everything shipped well ahead of even the rumblings, there were some unexpected ripples. The main one being everyone who needed shipments tried to get them in ahead of this which caused delays due to the increased amount of freight, so we are still missing shipments. We have all the extra gear, all the Blue and Green Exemplar PROs, and 20 cartons of a combination of the other colors and the Ninjon collab. The only things we are waiting on still are the remaining PRO cartons and the two new sizes. Rather than continuing to wait for absolutely everything to arrive, we are adapting and are going to be sending out pledges that only have what we currently have in stock at the warehouse. As the remaining shipments come in we will integrate these pledges into the shipping at an increased rate to catch them up.
We will also be putting together a survey to gauge the interest in an option to split pledge shipments. We aren't at this point yet but we want to be prepared depending on the status of the container ships as the strike evolves.

As soon as we have the photo studio set back up after the great laser cutter migration (Upgrading, re-venting and rearranging the laser zone caused a bit of a pile up in the whole creationarium), I will grab some snazzier photos.

Your Friendly Neighborhood Exemplar Update!

Hello wonderful people!
August was a whirlwind of conventions, preparations, logistics, and squeezing in some last-minute activities with the kiddos before school started again. Since we last shared we traveled to Indianapolis for GenCon 2024. Some of you amazing supporters stopped by the booth to check out the samples we had, and one thing I ALWAYS like to ask is "What setup did your pledge for?" It's great to hear everyone's responses and hear how people are customizing their painting setup with the new sizes and styles!
After GenCon we had three short weeks to get back, catch up on office things, resupply our booth, build a trebuchet (for fun), prepare for the start of school and head off to NOVA Open. NOVA Open is always a good time and such a great community. We were able to provide prizes for tournaments and the Capital Palette Painting Competition which had over 1,000 entries this year!!! We were also able to provide LUCENT lighting for many of the hobby seminars to the delight of the students and instructors :D This was also the first convention I was able to bring the whole family to to see what exactly papa does when he is out of town.

Fulfillment Update
As you have probably noticed it is September! If you didn't I don't know if we can help... We are gearing up to start fulfillment in the next few weeks which means we will be locking addresses down and charging shipping shortly.
Below are a few key points for shipping:
If you need to update your address you are still able to go into BackerKit and do that until you receive notice your address is locked.
Because of shipping times if you will be moving within a month of Sept 30 please email us and we can put your pledge on hold until you know where it will need to be sent.
International pledges that are in the "friendly shipping" zones will be shipped to GamesQuest who will then route them through their network, so delivery times on those will vary. We can provide more information on this once fulfillment starts.
Over the last month, we have received all of the Exemplar Wet Palette Paper for all the sizes, stickers, squeegees, LUCENTS, brushes and more! Currently stocked items like Hobby Holders and Palette Shields are here waiting as well :D We are still waiting to receive the Exemplar dual density sponges in the new sizes and the Exemplar Wet Palettes themselves which should be arriving very soon! For those of you receiving the Creature Caster STL bundle as part of your pledge, they are preparing those in My Mini Factory now, and as soon as they have completed that you will receive an email with instructions.
Squeegees, Paper, Texture Palettes, OH MY!
In final preparation for their receipt of the two largest shipments we completely rearranged the creationarium to accommodate a bunch of pallets temporarily. This also allowed us to revamp the laser and 3d printing areas which has actually be great as we finish up production on the Ninjon texture palettes! I will be sad when all the open space is filled up with the new gear but also happy because it mean it will be in your hands very soon!
This is probably the most organized this area has been since 2019 XD
As we have minor news I will post pinned comments otherwise I am hoping the next update is that fulfillment is starting! Please be on the lookout for the address locking email (I will also post a pinned comment when we start that process). Hello Amazing People
Summer is definitely in full swing here in Maryland! Luckily, we have good AC in the warehouse and okay AC in the office XD There has been a lot of prep work happening here and we have all had a chance to take some time off to spend with our families.
You can almost hear the squeals of excitement and crashing waves <3
I hope you all have had a chance to enjoy yourselves this last month! I wanted to stop in and give a general update as to what's been going on and what's coming up.
Production Update
This is definitely the largest task taking place with more than 8 different manufacturers involved, not including us! Currently, 98% of everything for the campaign has been ordered and is in production. We just got the new squeegees in last week except they had rerun the original design, so we need to get those remade with the new design.
In-house, we have been counting and preparing Hobby Holders, Pop-Up Cups, Scrubbies, Brush Sets, Texture Palettes, and more, so those are ready and in place for fulfillment to begin! We also got in most of the LUCENTs and rearranged the warehouse with new shelving!
We might need to start looking for more space again O.O
Fulfillment Info
Now that production is well underway it is time to start talking about the next step... fulfillment! As of right now fulfillment for the main part of the Kickstarter will take place in September per our original timeline. If for any reason this changes we will communicate this immediately.
If you pledged for and are receiving JUST the LUCENT we will be locking shipping for those later this week, so keep an eye out for that email. These however will ship directly from our warehouse here in the States, so if you are an international backer please let us know if you would like us to hold off until the main shipment phase.
To tide everyone over, we will be sending out the digital stretch goal Furballs of Fury STL miniatures via BackerKit in the next few days, so you can have them printed and ready to go when your new painting gear arrives!
